When it comes to inspecting the interior of a vehicle, the first thing you should notice is the odometer reading. The ideal mileage should read between 10,000 and 20,000 km per year that the car has been driven. If the odometer reading is extremely high, it’s likely that the car has been driven a lot and therefore, its lifespan is shorter. You also want to look for excessive wear on the pedal rubbers, floor mats or carpets, and upholstery. Finally, check for any peculiar smells—a musty odour could mean thatthere is some kind of leak or mould.
After thoroughly inspecting the vehicle, take it for a test drive. Test driving a used car or used truck is a great way to see how it handles and if you feel comfortable driving it. Make sure all interior lights, air conditioning and heating vents are working. Also be sure to listen for any unusual noises while driving.
Always be sure to locate the emergency brake and test that it’s working properly. You can also bring the vehicle in to a mechanic who can inspect the vehicle and notify you if there are any issues.
